Energy Bills
The first step in reducing your energy consumption is to review your utility bills. Bills typically have a number of fees and charges associated with
distribution, consumption, and special programs. Consumers usually have greatest control over the consumption charge. For electricity, consumption is measured in kWh (Kilowatt-hours). Natural gas
is measured in CCF (100 cubic feet of gas). Many bills have a consumption history, such as this example bill from Toledo Edison.
Consumption histories can help customers determine savings over time.
