Examples of household hazardous waste include, but are not limited to: car batteries, flammables, herbicides, oil base paints, motor oil, paint thinners, solvents, unknown/unlabeled containers, etc.

How do I dispose of compact fluorecent light bulbs (CFLs)?

Due to small amounts of mercury, CFLs should be disposed of one of the following ways:

  • Calling Lucas County Solid Waste at 419-213-2230 and scheduling a drop-off time.
