Living Green, Saving Green - Summer Edition!

To complement our winter program, we have brought together local businesses and organizations to demonstrate the financial and environmental benefits of going green outside your home. Our donors this summer include The Andersons, Naturally Native Nursery, and the Rain Garden Initiative.

The individual homeowners for this program were the same group selected during the winter edition. Originally, these folks were nominated by area non-profits or local governments and selected by a committee chaired by the United Way.

The summer edition of Living Green, Saving Green focuses on four areas:

  • Rain Barrels (RGI)
  • Vegetable Gardening
  • Composters (The Andersons)

We will soon have information up on this page detailing the items above. If your interested in rain barrels, there will be additional barrels delivered to the Frogtown Fair on Saturday, August 8th.
