The City of Toledo, Division of Solid Waste, will be transitioning to a new trash collecting and recycling program. The recycling component of this program, described as "single stream", has been implemented in numerous cities across the United States. A pilot study conducted by the City found that residential recycling significantly increased with this new program. On Thursday, March 12th, at 2:00pm the Toledo-Lucas County Plan Commissions will hold a public hearing on a text amendment regarding green infrastructure for stormwater management. The hearing will be help at One Government Center at Jackson Boulevard and Erie Street in Council Chambers.
