Recycling

There are a number of comprehensive programs that make recycling easy for the residents of Lucas County. Most local jurisdictions have curbside recycling programs that provide service to area residents.

In addition to traditional recycling, a number of local organizations allow area residents and businesses to donate all types of material. Most of the donations are tax deductible (contact the organizations for more information). Check out the list below:

• Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity - all types of construction material and appliances that are new or used
• Scrap 4 Art - Accept a long list of "reusable trash"
• Salvation Army - Donations - all manner of items, from washing machines to clothing
• Goodwill - Accept all types of donations - clothes, furniture, etc.
