TARTA - Biodiesel Study

TARTA (Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority) and the City of Toledo Division of Streets, Bridges, and Harbors have partnered with the University of Toledo's Intermodal Transportation Institute to study the impact of using biofuels in 48 TARTA buses and a number of City diesel-powered vehicles. The study will evaluate emissions, engine performance and wear, and operating costs. Air quality for passengers is also being studied.
