Walkthrough
When a homeowner decides to start improving the energy efficiency of his or her home, a professional is often
hired to do a "walkthrough." These walkthroughs (or audits) are formal assessments done by a trained professional that are designed to identify
opportunities to save on natural gas or electricity. Opportunities may include, but are not limited to, fixing leaky ductwork, enhancing insulation, upgrading appliances and lighting, and more. Payback periods
are often provided to the homeowner so that a calculated decision can be made. Local programs are currently available in both Ohio and Michigan to greatly reduce
